From Childhood Aspirations To Editing Mastery
About Me written by Brynn Paulson
In my early childhood years living in Hollywood, I spent most of my time fascinated by films. After moving back to Minneapolis, I made a few short films of my own for fun; until my Junior year when I realized it didn't just have to be a hobby. I was accepted into the 2nd best arts high school in the state, Perpich Center For Arts Education. This was the perfect school for me, their prestigious and high award winning programs were just what I needed. There I majored in Media Arts where I learned how to professionally shoot and edit footage. I graduated from there in 1994 and attended college at MCAD.
Alongside this, I developed a strong passion for music. For decades, and even to this day; I spend many hours researching and listening to as much music as possible. My expertise and broad knowledge in this area will help me create the best soundtracks to give your films life.
After college, I relocated back to Los Angeles to pursue my passion. I lived there for over a decade, and while in LA, I had myriad opportunities to truly start my career. I worked for Keycode media and formed a background in reality television. I also gained a decade of experience editing weddings, marketing material, and advertisements; while delivering equipment for all of the top media companies in Southern California. My belief that I wanted to be an editor had solidified completely.
